49ers promote pair of defensive players before Week 6 contest vs. Browns

After a fiery win in a rivalry bout with the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, the San Francisco 49ers will hit the road for Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns.

Before traveling to Ohio, the 49ers announced a pair of roster moves prior to meeting the Browns on Sunday. The 49ers elevated corner Shemar Jean-Charles and linebacker Curtis Robinson from the practice squad for Sunday’s game in Cleveland.

Jean-Charles has already suited up one game this season for the 49ers against the Giants on Thursday Night Football. Prior to joining the 49ers, the former App State defensive back played 21 games with the Green Bay Packers since 2021. Jean-Charles was drafted in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL draft by the Packers.

Robinson played in the season opener against the Steelers, recording a single tackle. Robins has played six other games with the 49ers dating back to 2021. Robinson played at Stanford in college.

Kickoff between the 49ers and Browns is set for 10 a.m. PT on Sunday in Cleveland.
