The 49ers on Monday didn’t hold a practice after their Sunday matchup against the Rams. With a game Thursday night against the Giants the team’s week of preparation gets truncated dramatically.
While they didn’t practice, they are still required to send out a projected participation report. That projected report had wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk listed as a non-participant because of a shoulder injury. Cornerback Ambry Thomas would’ve been limited by a knee issue. Both players were banged up in the 49ers’ Week 2 win in Los Angeles.
Buy 49ers TicketsHead coach Kyle Shanahan on Monday morning in a conference call said it was too early for any update on either player. With a short week the team may try and be cautious with their banged up players, but the next couple days should paint a better picture about what the club’s health will look like for Thursday Night Football.
