The 49ers on Thursday brought back running back Tyrion Davis-Price on their practice squad.
To make room on the 16-man practice roster they released undrafted rookie wide receiver Isaiah Winstead.
Davis-Price was released Tuesday when the 49ers needed to open a roster spot for veteran defensive back Logan Ryan.
San Francisco selected Davis-Price with a third-round pick in last year’s draft. In two seasons he played in seven games and rushed for 120 yards on 40 carries.
With RB Elijah Mitchell dealing with knee soreness, in-house depth at the position could be a necessity for the 49ers in Week 14.
