The Washington Commanders made a pair of moves on Tuesday, at the NFL deadline — and the second one is sure to create a wow factor.
Hours after dealing DL Montez Sweat to the Chicago Bears, Washington shipped fellow DL Chase Young to the San Francisco 49ers for a third-round pick.
Young was a second-overall pick out of Ohio State in 2020.
He played in 15 games as a rookie and was impressive. Injuries limited Young to 9 games in 2021 and 3 games last season.
He played seven games, starting six, for Washington in 2023. He has 5 of his career 14 sacks this season.
