The No. 49 is one of the lesser-used jersey numbers for the Cincinnati Bengals since the beginning of the franchise.
In fact, the record books from Pro Football Reference say just seven names have worn the number in team history.
One of those is a current player, as the number belongs to linebacker Joe Bachie. Before him, Moritz Boehringer briefly had it, with it otherwise going to Darius Hill all the way back in 2009.
Most notable by far to wear it was Guy Frazier, a fourth-round pick who had the opening hit of Super Bowl XVI, which caused a fumble on the opening kickoff.
