Reports from Borno state in northeast Nigeria indicate that at least 40 farmers lost their lives in a tragic attack carried out by Muslim militants. The incident, which occurred in the Dumba community, is believed to be the work of extremists associated with the notorious Boko Haram group and its breakaway faction aligned with the Islamic State.

Borno state Governor Babagana Umara Zulum confirmed the attack and urged civilians to remain vigilant and seek refuge in designated safe zones to ensure their safety.
