4 Steelers we expect to see more of in the second half of the season

Through eight games, the Pittsburgh Steelers are 5-3 despite being outgained in every game this season. Depending on how the weekend plays out, Pittsburgh could be back on top in the AFC North. Pittsburgh has been forced to shuffle the roster due to injuries and changes in play. Here are the four Steelers we expect to see more of in the second half of the season.

LB Mark Robinson

The injury to Cole Holcomb costs him the rest of the season and elevates Kwon Alexander into a full-time role. This will in turn into an expanded role for Mark Robinson as the team’s third inside linebacker as well.

WR Calvin Austin III

Kenny Pickett is going to lean heavily on Diontae Johnson now that he’s healthy but offensive coordinator Matt Canada needs to figure out a way to create more opportunities for Calvin Austin III in the offense to take some pressure off the top guys.

OT Broderick Jones

Broderick Jones was too good at right tackle to keep off the field. With a mini bye week, the Steelers staff need to sort out whether it is Chuks Okorafor or Dan Moore Jr. that takes a season in favor of the talented rookie.

EDGE Nick herbig

We realize it’s tough to justify sitting Alex Highsmith or T.J. Watt down but down the stretch, a four-man rotation at outside linebacker keeps Watt and Highsmith fresher and healthy late in the season when the team needs them the most.
