Jordon Davison, the prolific running back for the Mater Dei Monarchs (San Ana, Calif.), is headed to Eugene, Oregon.
The four-star talent chose the Ducks over several top-tier programs, including Ohio State, Michigan and Alabama, making his announcement on Friday in San Ana.

It’s another major recruiting victory for head coach Dan Lanning, who is preparing for the Ducks’ first run in the new-look Big Ten. And the praise Lanning received from his newest recruit only brightens the spotlight for the possible commits who are still undecided.
“[Dan Lanning] is probably the coolest head coach I have met so far,” said Davison to On3. “He is for sure gonna win the national championship and he for sure is going to have the players and the coaches to do it.”
In a conference historically known for running the football, adding Davison to the roster is a step in the right direction.
As part of the Monarch offense, the class of 2025 ball carrier has been a shining star among a roster of stars, helping the perennial Super 25 contender stay atop not only a difficult CIF-SS Trinity League but also take on national powerhouses across the country.
The 6-foot Davison has been praised as much for his power running and, when needed, shifty outside breaks as his catching ability. And though his numbers dipped a bit from his sophomore to junior campaigns—mainly on the account of an injury issue in 2023—the overall results have made him one of the more sought-after talents in the class.
While things can always change in the recruiting game, for now, the news only creates more excitement for the future of Duck football — something that Davsion considered in this selection.
“They’re a team on rise. And I have a chance to play early over there and contribute to a national championship.”
