4-star Rasean Dinkins flips from Georgia Tech to Georgia

The Georgia Bulldogs have flipped four-star safety recruit Rasean Dinkins from the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Dinkins, who had been committed to Georgia Tech since June 2024, plays high school football for Warner Robins High School in Warner Robins, Georgia. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound safety prospect is a member of the class of 2025.

Dinkins is ranked as the No. 219 recruit in the 2025 cycle. The Warner Robins standout is the No. 19 safety in the nation and the No. 32 prospect in Georgia, per 247Sports.

Following Dinkins’ commitment, Georgia and head coach Kirby Smart have the third-best recruiting class in the country. Only the Ohio State Buckeyes and Alabama Crimson Tide are ranked ahead of Georgia.

Georgia has 24 total commitments in the class of 2025. The Bulldogs still have a major need at cornerback.

Georgia Tech and head coach Brent Key are actually doing an outstanding job on the recruiting trail. The Yellow Jackets have the No. 16 recruiting class in the country, but losing Rasean Dinkins to their top rival hurts. Dinkins was one of Georgia Tech’s top commitments in the 2025 cycle.
