Several of the soon-to-be NFL rookies who were in attendance in the Kansas City green room didn’t have to wait long to hear their names called on Day 1 of the 2023 NFL Draft.
But for a handful of the 17 prospects waiting, they never heard their names called at all on Thursday, which means they could be coming back on Friday’s Day 2 for more waiting.
It’s a bummer for all four of the players below, but maybe — like others who have had to sit through a draft as they dropped — it’ll give them motivation on the field to show that it was a mistake to let them sit there:

1
QB Will Levis, Kentucky
It was a tough night for Kentucky quarterback Will Levis, who went from a possible top draft pick to a probable Friday selection.
He should go early in round two, however.
2
S Brian Branch, Alabama
The versatile defensive back from Alabama should be a high pick on Friday.
3
CB Joey Porter Jr., Penn State
The son of Pittsburgh Steelers legend Joey Porter was a surprising omission from Thursday night’s selections.
Like Branch, he won’t last long in the green room on Friday.
4
OLB Keion White, Georgia Tech
White might not have gone on Thursday night, but he could be a steal for a team in the second round.
