Chet Holmgren is back and ready to win Rookie of the Year over that Victor Wembanyama guy.
The Oklahoma City Thunder forward missed all of last season with a foot injury after the franchise selected him second overall in the 2022 NBA Draft. He had an incredible but limited set of Summer League games before he was forced to bow out and wait until this year.
Now? On Monday, he had his 2023 Summer League debut and looked pretty damn good, which is the most exciting. You’ll see him deliver some two-handed blocks and moves that prove he’ll be tough to defend this season:

Here, just watch the whole highlight reel
No surprise that Chet Holmgren had to shake off some early rust but still finished with 15 PTS (6/14 FG), 9 REBS, 4 BLKS and 2 ASTS in 29 MINS in a win vs. the Jazz in his first action since injuring his foot last summer. 2nd pick in the 2022 draft is still just 21-years-old pic.twitter.com/osPK6WzFOD
