The more things change in the Champions League, the more they can stay the same.
Celtic make their return to the group stage for the first time since 2017 as the Glasgow giants rub shoulders with Europe’s elite once again.
Though for fans it may seem like the same old faces appearing in the pots for the competition next season.
Milan, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have become familiar opponents during recent European adventures, while the likes of Real Madrid seemingly never come out of the hat.
However, there is still plenty of potential for blockbuster match-ups that the punters have never seen before. Supporters are already whipping themselves into a frenzy as they prepare to join the big boys in European football’s premier playground.
And as Record Sport takes a look at the first-time competitive clashes that could be on the horizon for Ange Postecoglou, we find some tasty-looking clashes...
Chelsea
It may be surprising these two haven't faced off in Europe given both Chelsea and Celtic have been ever-present on the European scene for years.
However, it's only been pre-season warm-up clashes that have seen the clubs face off.
Throughout the years the pair have exchanged victories in friendly clashes but have yet to meet in a competitive clash.
If Thomas Tuchel's former Champions League winners come out of the hat in pot two it will be a massive test for Postecoglou. Kai Havertz in Glasgow under the lights? Nice.
Eintracht Frankfurt
Having narrowly defeat Rangers in the Europa League Final, Frankfurt booked their spot in the Champions League group stage and go in as top seeds.
It would be almost ironic if Celtic came out of the hat against the Bundesliga side after they booked their place in the competition by seeing off their Glasgow rivals.
However, it's a draw that many Parkhead fans would see as favourable given some of the of the heavy hitters that will be in pot one.
They have met twice in friendly action, and both carry a win each, but never in a competitive showdown.
Tottenham
Another first-time Battle of Britain clash is on the cards for Celtic as they re-enter the group stage of the Champions League.
Antonio Conte's side secured a top four English Premier League finish and beat their North London rivals Arsenal into the elite competition.
Celtic faced off against Spurs regularly back in the 1960s as part of their USA tour, and the Parkhead side were most recently defeated 6-1 by the London club in 2014 during pre-season.
Napoli
Napoli go into pot three and present another unfamiliar test for Celtic. The Serie A side have been regulars in European football in recent seasons but have missed out on a night under the Celtic Park lights.
A third-placed finish in Italy earned them their spot in the Champions League, and you will have two go back to 1993 for the last time Celtic faced the side in a friendly clash. With the southern Italians boasting the likes of Lorenzo Insigne in their squad, this would be another tie to get the juices flowing.
