Q
QB Kyler Murray
Murray is on PUP completing his recovery from his torn ACL. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Cardinals will not activate him and he is still weeks away. However, if we are going to mince words, he could be designated to return without being activated and still be weeks away from playing, as there is a 21-day window to be activated.
CB Garrett Williams
Williams, a rookie drafted in the third round, is on the NFI (non-football injury) reserve. He has not practiced yet since being drafted. He tore his ACL last year in October when he played for Syracuse.
Head coach Jonathan Gannon referred to “PUP guys” saying nothing has changed with them. He might have been referring to Williams as well.
But the Cardinals did cut two cornerbacks on Monday, so it has us wondering.
OL Dennis Daley
Daley was placed on injured reserve after he initially made the active roster. He suffered an ankle injury in the preseason finale. He is likely coming back this week, as the Cardinals released an offensive lineman on Monday.
LB Myjai Sanders
Sanders fractured his hand at the start of training camp and was placed on IR after making the 53-man roster. He would crowd the outside linebacker room but is eligible to return and coming back would make sense.
