A 36-year-old man has died after he was found unresponsive at a bus station.
Gwent Police confirmed officers were called to the bus station on Monmouth Road in Abergavenny early on Wednesday morning over concerns for the welfare of an unconscious man there.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: “We were called to the bus station in Monmouth Road, Abergavenny, at around 6.45am on Wednesday, March 2, after a man was found unresponsive.
“Officers attended along with paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service who confirmed that a 36-year-old man had died. His next of kin have been informed.”
The force clarified that the incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a report has been submitted to the coroner.
