The Lebanese health minister Firass Abiad has confirmed that the death toll from the Israeli missile strike on a multistory building in south Beirut has risen to 31. Among the victims are three children, seven women, and three Syrian citizens. Additionally, 68 people have been wounded in the attack.
Hezbollah, a militant group based in Lebanon, also suffered significant losses in the airstrike. At least 16 of its operatives, including high-level commanders, were killed in the attack.
Rescue teams are currently working to clear the rubble from the site of the strike and search for any missing individuals. Unfortunately, some body parts retrieved from the debris are unidentifiable, adding to the tragedy of the situation.
In a separate update, Minister Abiad mentioned that the death toll from previous explosions targeting Hezbollah members has been revised to 39. This includes 12 casualties from Tuesday's incident and 27 from Wednesday's attack.
The situation in Beirut remains tense as the aftermath of these attacks continues to unfold. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims and all those affected by these tragic events.
