3 Scottish Premiership sides accelerate transfer game plan as they head to Madrid signing summit

A trio of Scottish Premiership sides will be represented among 200 clubs at TransferRoom's latest signing summit in Madrid next week.

Record Sport can reveal Hibs, Motherwell and Aberdeen will be in attendance as they step up their strategy ahead of the summer window.

The tool allows clubs to essentially speed date with potential suitors in a series of 15-minute meetings while being allotted 18 slots.

The Premiership attendees will be able to discuss future transfer business with clubs from Europe and beyond making the trip to Madrid.

Rangers have been previous attendees with their sporting director Ross Wilson establishing a relationship since his days with Southampton.

Some of the biggest clubs in the world will be in attendance on such as Barcelona, Manchester City and Juventus, with the event taking place on March 21 and 22.

And it marks a return to an in-person event with the pandemic forcing clubs into a virtual setting over the past two years.

Teams already use a variety of scouting platforms but TransferRoom allows them the chance to meet in person and future plan ahead of the summer transfer window.

Jonas Ankersen, Founder and CEO, said “TransferRoom empowers players, agents and clubs to be successful in the transfer market by giving them instant access to the best market information and a second-to-none network of global connections.

“We know the value of live events in helping build those networks. Football is a relationship-driven business, and decision-makers in Madrid will benefit from a series of quickfire meetings to discuss potential deals and longer-term co-operation.

“We are excited to be returning to Madrid for what is set to be a record-breaking TransferRoom Summit.”

TransferRoom launched in 2017 and has facilitated more than 1,500 moves over the past five years.
