The Seahawks brought in three free agents for workouts Tuesday, according to the NFL’s transactions report. All three of them were cornerbacks.
Here’s who came in for a visit at the VMAC today.
Kris Boyd
Boyd (5-foot-11, 195 pounds) played his college ball at Texas, then was picked by the Vikings in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL draft. He played 58 games for Minnesota over the next four years as a backup corner and core special teamer. He also played four games for the Cardinals earlier this season before he was waived.
Madre Harper
Harper (6-foot-2, 190 pounds) split his college career between Oklahoma State and Southern Illinois. After going undrafted, he got his first action in the NFL with the Giants. He has also put in time with the Panthers, Steelers and Raiders. In 12 games as a pro Harper has played 148 snaps on special teams and 37 on offense.
AJ Parker
A product of Kansas State, Parker (5-foot-11, 178 pounds) also went undrafted. He spent parts of the last two years with the Lions and was with the 49ers earlier this year before the season began. Of the three, Parker is the only one with extensive experience on defense.
It’s possible the Seahawks suffered an undisclosed injury to a cornerback in Sunday’s win over the Cardinals. If that’s the case we will likely see a move coming later this week.
