A luxury hotel group has announced it will open a new £25m resort in Devon next year.
L+R Hotels, which has a portfolio of high-end properties across Europe, the US and the Caribbean, will fully refurbish the Highbullen Hotel Golf and Country Club by the River Mole in the north of the county.
‘The Mole Resort’ will also be expanded with 58 “luxury lodges” as part of the investment into the site, which sits in 125 acres of countryside around 20 miles inland from the North Devon coast.
All of the lodges will be fitted with a large deck with outdoor dining, hot tubs, and fully-equipped kitchens.
Adrian Bradley, who is leading the project for L+R Hotels said: “Not only will our guests be able to relax in their lodges surrounded by spectacular countryside views, but there’s plenty for them to do, both within the resort, and with ready access to world-class beaches and outstanding countryside.
“From swimming, fitness classes, golf and tennis, to pickle ball and trout fishing, it’s the perfect place for families, groups and couples to do as much or as little as they like, and our resort team is excited to welcome them.”
L+R, a London-based global property investment firm, said the works were scheduled for completion in May 2023.
