Christmas has definitely arrived in Liverpool today as the Liverpool Santa Dash returned for 2019.
Thousands descended on the city centre this morning despite the cold weather, dressed in red and blue Santa suits to take part in the fun run.
Unlike other running events held in the city, the Santa Dash is all about having fun and is open to anyone - including pets.
Many brought along their children and pets to take part in the fun 5K run, which finished at the Town Hall.
This year runners were met by street theatre, Santa himself and some very realistic fake snow at the finish line, where they received medals before heading off to warm up after a very chilly run.
