A historic bar on the west coast of Scotland is celebrating success after scooping a prestigious award - for the fourth time.
Considered an institution by locals and visitors alike, The Oban Inn has been crowned Argyll Pub of the Year by CAMRA (Campaign For Real Ale).
First opened in 1790, The Oban Inn, which 'offers the best of West Coast Hospitality overlooking the beautiful Oban Bay', is much-loved for its live music nights, extensive whisky selection and in particular its excellent offering of fine ales.

Upon announcing the award, CAMRA members hailed the bar's 'remarkable achievement'.
They said: "The August branch meeting saw the vote for the 2022 Argyll Pub of the year.

"Six pubs were short-listed but the vote soon came down to a head-to-head between Fyne Ales Brewery Tap and the Oban Inn, with Oban emerging the winner.
"This is the fourth time this pub has won this award, a remarkable achievement considering there are so many good pubs serving excellent beer in the Argyll & Bute region.
"We are currently planning the date and time for the presentation."
CAMRA's mission is 'to have quality real ale, cider and perry and thriving pubs in every community'. To find out more about the Glasgow and the West of Scotland CAMRA branch, you can visit their website here.
