A 23-year-old woman is set to face trial later this year for allegedly luring a man to an apartment, attacking him with a kettlebell, and sexually assaulting him.
As reported by the Sydney Morning Herald, a recent bail hearing in the NSW Supreme Court heard Jasmine Agostini was with two men at a unit in Wollongong on September 2, 2022, when she allegedly lured a man she knew intimately under the pretence of selling him drugs.
A kettlebell was used to allegedly beat him over the head, knocking him to the floor and the man was allegedly sexually assaulted with a frying pan, as reported by the publication.

The case is expected to return to court in May. (Source: Facebook)
It’s understood this will mark Agostini’s second trial after she could not be located days into her first trial in August 2024.
The court heard Agostini was arrested two days after the alleged crimes occurred and remained in custody before being granted bail two and a half months later. Police found her missing from the address she was ordered to stay at per her bail conditions, after which detention applications were made.
Her trial began in August 2024 at Wollongong District Court, however Agostini could not be located five days in and the judge issued a bench warrant.
She was re-arrested eight days later and has remained in custody since.
Addressing court at the recent bail hearing, Justice Desmond Fagan said it was alleged she “was part of a joint criminal enterprise to carry out those offences of violence”.
Her bail was refused, with Fagan describing Agostini’s risk of breaching bail was unacceptable and no conditions could mitigate that risk. He also noted the “erratic conduct of an applicant such as this”.
Agostini has pleaded not guilty to aggravated sexual assault in company and depriving liberty, aggravated robbery and inflicting actual bodily harm, kidnapping in company occasioning actual bodily harm, stealing from a person and possessing a prohibited drug.
Her case will return to court in May.
