For Marvel fans Spider-Man: No Way Home might be the most anticipated MCU even since Avengers: Endgame and the new trailer for the forthcoming blockbuster has revealed even more hints at just what is going on and who is in this star-studded film.
Warning: This article might contain spoilers for No Way Home as well as previous Spider-Man and MCU movies/TV shows.
Firstly, it should be said that the plot is already bonkers just from the first few snippets that we’ve been treated to. Basically at the end of Far From Home, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is exposed as Spider-Man’s secret identity putting him and his loved ones at from the superheroes enemies.
So, in order to undo that Peter asks Doctor Strange to use his magic to make everyone in the world forget he is Spider-Man. Somehow this spell goes completely wrong and more villains start showing up to get their hands on Peter and his friends.
However, these aren’t new villains, at least from our perspective, these are the villains from the older Spider-Man films starring Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. The likes of Alfred Molina’s Dr Octopus, Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin and Jamie Foxx’s Electro all show up in this trailer.

Needless to say, it is pretty confusing but also very exciting for fans to see all of the characters from different movies converging on screen together and judging by early reactions people are already hyped to see it.

One particular scene from the trailer which sees Zendaya’s MJ falling from a tower, emulating a similar scene involving Emma Stone from 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 had fans all worked up.

Notably absent from the trailer are Maguire and Garfield who are strongly rumoured to be appearing in the movie (even if they are you can understand Marvel not wanting to give away something that monumental in a trailer) but some fans believe there are few nods in the trailer that they will be in the film.
