The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that their troops are conducting intelligence-based operations in response to the threats emanating from Khan Yunis. The IDF reported that terrorists were eliminated, primarily through sniper fire, and that underground terror infrastructure was discovered in the area.

Efforts to obtain further details on the airstrike that resulted in the 22 fatalities have been made to the IDF. However, due to limited access for international media in Gaza, the death toll remains unconfirmed independently.
