The 2025 PFL welterweight tournament experienced a shakeup before it even began after Magomed Umalatov missed weight Wednesday, forcing him to be removed from the competition.
Umalatov weighed in at 173.6 pounds during 2025 PFL World Tournament 1 weigh-ins in Orlando, Fla., more than 2 pounds heavier than the 171 limit. In Umalatov’s place steps in alternate Joseph Luciano, who will take on Logan Storley in a welterweight quarterfinal matchup.

Thursday’s fight card, which takes place at Universal Studios Orlando (ESPN+, ESPN2), features the quarterfinals of both the welterweight and featherweight eight-man tournaments. The featherweight field did not experience any weight misses.
