Things have become so sad and miserable for the New York Giants that they somehow managed to lose during their bye week.
No, the Giants obviously didn’t drop a game during their short hiatus, but they did see their 2025 NFL draft stock worsen a bit. That’s because many of the teams they needed to win (or lose) did the exact opposite, costing them two spots. At least for now.
With the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and Las Vegas Raiders all falling flat and taking a loss, the Giants dropped from the No. 2 overall pick to the No. 4 overall pick, per Tankathon.
The good news? There is still plenty of time left for the Giants to launder and climb back up the draft board but if the season were to end today, they’d be in a bad spot.
Here’s a look at the current top 10:
- Jacksonville Jaguars (2-9)
- Tennessee Titans (2-8)
- Cleveland Browns (2-8)
- New York Giants (2-8)
- Las Vegas Raiders (2-8)
- New England Patriots (3-8)
- New York Jets (3-8)
- Carolina Panthers (3-7)
- Dallas Cowboys (3-7)
- New Orleans Saints (4-7)
After benching quarterback Daniel Jones, it is presumed the Giants will seek a new signal-caller at the top of the draft. But if they remain at No. 4, they will need to dump additional assets in the hopes of moving up to a more prime position.
