LIV Golf completed a two-week Asian swing this week at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore, where its 54-player field competed for its usual $20 million purse with $5 million to top three teams.
Joaquin Niemann became the first two-time winner on the season, shooting a final-round 6-under 65 to win by five shots over Brooks Koepka. Niemann has already been invited to next month’s Masters and the PGA Championship and is getting closer to a U.S. Open spot via the USGA’s new exemption for the LIV Golf points leader not already exempt.
Dustin Johnson, the first-round leader and 36-hole co-leader with Niemann, shot 2 over in the final round and fell to a tie for fifth.
In the team competition, Sergio Garcia’s Fireballs GC won for the third consecutive event, taking the title by three shots over Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII. All four scores count each round in team play this season and the Fireballs foursome of Garcia, Abraham Ancer, Luis Masaveu, David Puig is proving to be LIV’s best so far in 2025.
