In a recent four-round 2024 NFL mock draft, Curt Popejoy of Draft Wire has the Denver Broncos landing the top quarterback in next year’s class.
Popejoy has the Chicago Bears passing on USC quarterback Caleb Williams with the first two picks in the draft, apparently a sign that they’re committed to Justin Fields going forward. That left Williams to fall to the Broncos at No. 3 overall in next April’s draft.
“When the Broncos signed quarterback Russell Wilson, they could not have anticipated this team would regress the way it has,” Popejoy wrote on Draft Wire. “Nevertheless, the 2024 NFL draft could be a perfect opportunity to put the ills of the past behind them and draft a future.”
Williams is widely considered the top 2024 QB prospect.
Popejoy also has Denver landing Temple cornerback T.J. Tampa, Washington wide receiver Jalen McMillan and Kansas State offensive lineman Cooper Beebe in his mock. To view Denver’s complete four-round 2024 NFL mock draft, visit Draft Wire.
