With the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine in full swing, we decided to update our list of our favorite prospects for the Pittsburgh Steelers at every position of need.
QB - Jayden Daniels, LSU

As much as we love Jayden Daniels’ athleticism, his pocket presence and arm strength are just as good.
RB - Will Shipley, Clemson

Great scat back and change of pace back to pair with Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren. Also an excellent receiver.
WR - Malik Washington, Virginia
![](https://steelerswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/76/2024/01/USATSI_21927459.jpg)
The Steelers don’t need an outside receiver so we love Malik Washington to replace Allen Robinson as the team’s new slot receiver.
OT - Taliese Fuaga, Oregon State
![](https://steelerswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/76/2023/10/USATSI_19253344.jpg)
I know the popular choice here is Georgia’s Amarius Mims but if by some miracle Taliese Fuaga fell to the Steelers, they would have a much better prospect who has elite tackle potential.
OG - Graham Barton, Duke

We don’t view guard as a huge need unless the team decides to move James Daniels to center but if they do, Barton would be a great replacement.
C - Jackson Powers-Johnson, Oregon,

This one is too obvious but make no mistake, Jackson Powers-Johnson is the answer to the Steelers offensive line woes not that Mason Cole has been released.
DE - Braden Fiske, Florida State
![](https://steelerswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/76/2024/02/1828930084.jpg)
For a 4-3 defense Fisk projects as a tackle but for the Steelers, Fisk is the ideal 3-4 defensive end candidate who could kick inside on passing downs.
DT - T'Vondre Sweat, Texas
![](https://steelerswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/76/2024/02/1829593997.jpg)
As a pure nose tackle, there isn’t a better option than T’Vondre Sweat. He’s an athletic 366-pounder who just eats up blockers.
OLB - Austin Booker, Kansas
![](https://steelerswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/76/2024/02/USATSI_22412583.jpg)
The Steelers don’t need a starting edge rusher so we love Austin Booker as a high-ceiling guy who is super athletic.
ILB - Payton Wilson, North Carolina State
![](https://steelerswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/76/2024/01/USATSI_21759713.jpg)
The Steelers rebuilt the inside linebacker position last year and now they get to do it again. Payton Wilson is a complete inside linebacker who can do everything on the field.
CB - Quinyon Mitchell, Toledo
![](https://steelerswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/76/2024/01/USATSI_22017774.jpg)
This was easily the toughest decision of all the position groups but we settled on Mitchell because he might be the best man corner in this class.
S - Cooper DeJean, Iowa
![](https://steelerswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/76/2023/06/USATSI_19705702.jpg)
I could have included him as my favorite cornerback but he’s also got the potential to be an All-Pro safety and would fit perfectly next to Minkah Fitzpatrick.
P - Tory Taylor, Iowa
![](https://steelerswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/76/2024/02/USATSI_21559859.jpg)
The Steelers are in dire need of a punter and no guy has a bigger leg in this draft than Iowa’s Tory Taylor.
