Taylor Swift continues to break records, making history at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards (BBMA) by winning 10 awards, bringing her total career awards to 49.
She took home awards including top artist, top female artist, top Billboard 200 artist, top hot 100 artist, hot 100 songwriter, top streaming songs artist and top Billboard 200 album.
This puts her ahead of Drake’s record. Before Thursday night, Swift and Drake were stuck at 39 each. Drake now has 42 awards overall after winning in three categories.
The singer, whose birthday is on December 13, said at the end of her pre-recorded speech that “this is the nicest early birthday present” and: “It’s exactly what I wanted.”
