Sunday was a big day for Ohio State football recruiting: It landed a commitment from five-star defensive tackle Justin Scott.
Scott is the top-ranked player in Illinois and the No. 14 overall player on the 247Sports composite. This a massive addition for the Buckeyes’ 2024 class, especially considering Michigan was also heavily in the mix to land Scott. (neener, neener)
Larry Johnson sealed the deal to make Scott a Buckeye commit, and it appears Ohio State is in the lead to land five-star edge rusher Dylan Stewart.
Stewart, who attends Friendship Collegiate Academy in Washington D.C., was given crystal balls to the Buckeyes by three 247Sports site experts on Sunday. This includes director of football recruiting Steve Wiltfong, national recruiting analyst Brian Dohn and Ohio State insider Bill Kurelic.

Nothing is a done deal, but Ohio State is in a good position to add another highly touted defensive lineman to its 2024 class that is ranked second in the nation behind Georgia by 247sports.
