2023 Wells Fargo Championship odds: 5 prop bets and position plays for Quail Hollow including Cameron Young to top 20

The biggest stars on the PGA Tour have made their way to Charlotte, North Carolina, for the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow Club. The top two players in the world, Jon Rahm and Scottie Scheffler, have decided to take this week off.

Max Homa returns as the defending champion, although he won at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm after the event was moved to accommodate the Presidents Cup being held at QHC later in the year.

Rory McIlroy, who is making his first start since missing the cut at the Masters, is the last player to win at Quail Hollow. McIlroy has won this event three times, including in 2012 for his first win on Tour.

If you’re looking for a few plays to add to your card for the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship, here are five of our favorite prop bets and position plays.

Rory McIlroy or Viktor Hovland to win (+450)

McIlroy has won here three times, and Hovland finished third in 2021, his first start in Charlotte.

Both players were featured in our picks list.

Joel Dahmen to finish inside top 40 (+140)

Dahmen hasn’t had his best stuff over the last few months, but he has had great success at Quail Hollow in the past. He’s finished 18th, 2nd and 16th in three appearances.

Cameron Young to finish inside top 20 (+115)

Rory McIlroy has used his length and high draw off the tee to win here three times. Do you know who else hits high draws and monster bombs?

Yup, Cameron Young, who tied for second at the Wells Fargo last year when it was held in Maryland. Before a T-51 finish at the RBC Heritage, Young grabbed T-7 at the Masters and runner-up at the WGC-Dell Match Play.

Max Homa, Jason Day or Sahith Theegala to win (+900)

Homa has won here before, so has Day, and Theegala has finished ninth (Masters) and T-5 (RBC Heritage) in his last two solo starts (T-23 at the Zurich Classic).

Keegan Bradley (+180) over Matt Kuchar and Taylor Moore

Bradley has played solid golf all season and finished 18th at Quail Hollow in 2021.
