2023 PNC Championship final round highlights from Orlando

Golf’s silly season came to a close on Sunday as the annual family hit-and-giggle in Orlando wrapped play.

The 2023 PNC Championship, an unofficial event that features major champions and winners of the Players Championship paired with a family member for 36 holes, saw history made on Sunday. First-round leaders Matt Kuchar and his son, Cameron, were looking for their first win and sat three shots clear of four teams tied for second. One of those teams were the defending champions, Vijay and Qass Singh. Another were the eventual winners, Bernhard Langer and his son, Jason. With the victory, Langer tied Raymond Floyd for the most wins all-time in the event with five.

From Tiger and Charlie Woods to a wholesome moment with Annika Sorenstam and her son, Will McGee, check out the highlights from the final round of the 2023 PNC Championship.

Sunday red

The Cat is rocking his Sunday red for the final round, but Charlie decided not to match the old man today. Tiger and Charlie enter the day seven shots back at 8 under and tee off alongside Steve and Izzi Stricker at 10:51 a.m. ET.

From walking in putts and waving goodbye to drives to a third member of the family as a caddie, here were the best scenes from Tiger, Charlie and Sam’s first round.

Team Duval makes a move

David Duval and Brady Duval were three shots back and T-2 entering Sunday’s final round but made a quick, early move up the leaderboard to tie for first. Team Duval made birdie on the first hole and eagle on the par-5 third hole to tie Team Kuchar at 15 under.

Little Kuch in slow mo

Cameron Kuchar is Little Kuch in name and name only. The lengthy 16-year-old is far from small and can really move the golf ball, especially off the tee. Check out the swing in slow motion and try not to be jealous.

Tiger makes eagle (and Charlie walks it in)

After a ho-hum start from the Woods trio over the first few holes, Tiger and Charlie turned up the heat with a birdie on the first par 5 on No. 3 and an eagle on the next par 5 two holes later at No. 5. Charlie walking it in with the early putter raise makes it even better.

Langer's join the party, take the lead

Bernhard Langer and his son Jason took their first steps towards a record-tying fifth win early on Sunday with birdies on their first four holes, quickly erasing a three-shot deficit to start the day. The winds are starting to pick up in Orlando and could make for a more challenging round compared to Saturday.

Team Daly then and now

Both big and little John have changed a bit over the years!

Charlie and the big stick

Another day, another green driven by Charlie Woods. Sure, he’s playing from some forward tees, but this thing was still absolutely launched.

Team Langer on cruise control

There are quite a few circles on the scorecard for Team Langer. Bernhard and Jason have now birdied their opening seven holes and carry a two-shot lead at 19 under. Jason is rolling a hot putter, even a leaf blowing into his ball on the green can’t stop him from making birdies.

Chip-in Charlie

Charlie chipped in for birdie and Tiger couldn’t help but laugh. From the shot to the celebration, that’s a mini Tiger through and through.

Langer's make turn at 28

The front nine at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando is a par 36. Team Langer just made the turn at 8-under 28 thanks to eight birdies over the opening nine holes. The putters are absurdly hot for the father-son duo and they now hold a three-shot advantage with nine to play.

Going out with a bang

Lee Trevino is the only player to compete in every edition of the PNC Championship dating back to the inaugural in 1995. The 84-year-old ended the 2023 event with a birdie. Can’t wait to see him again at 85.

14 holes, 12 birdies

Team Langer can’t stop making birdies, Jason in particular. The father-son duo were three shots back to start the round and now hold a four-shot advantage with four holes to play. The crazy part? Bernhard has been putting second, and the vast majority of birdies have fallen thanks to his son, Jason. History just might be made in a few holes.

Walk-off hole-out

Justin Thomas and his father are former winners of the PNC Championship but didn’t have their A-game this week. That said, the 30-year-old walked off the course in style with a hole-out from the sand.

'I want to enjoy this moment'

No words necessary, just watch. This is what the PNC Championship is all about.

One last birdie

There are few feelings in golf that are better than a birdie on the last hole.
