2023 NFL draft: Seahawks met with Michigan WR Ronnie Bell

Everyone can agree the biggest need for the Seattle Seahawks to address going into 2023 is their defensive line. It was their Achilles Heel last year. But what is arguably their next biggest need is finding a legitimate No. 3 wide receiver.

When Tyler Lockett missed a game with a hand injury, the otherwise explosive Seahawks offense sputtered against the Kansas City Chiefs. Past DK Metcalf, there wasn’t anyone else who stepped up in a meaningful way.

It stands to reason Seattle will look to address this glaring need in the draft, and perhaps it is in the form of Michigan receiver Ronnie Bell. The Seahawks met with Bell at Michigan’s pro day, per WalterFootball.

After suffering a torn ACL in 2021, Bell came back strong with 62 receptions, 889 yards and four touchdowns across 14 games in 2022.

Bell’s speed might not blow anyone away, but his draft profile repeatedly discusses his ball skills and even run blocking ability. To me, this sounds like a receiver the Seahawks would absolutely be interested in.
