The NFL draft is about making history, and this year’s three-day event ended with the most trade transactions ever.
That’s a new record for a single draft.
Philadelphia led the charge with seven trades made from Thursday night to late Saturday evening, coming away with seven players after entering the weekend with just six picks.
The first move added Georgia All-American defensive tackle Jalen Carter, while the final deal netted the Eagles a late-round pick in 2024.
With the weekend over, we’re looking at all the 2023 NFL draft trades conducted by the Philadelphia Eagles and which players were selected by other teams
Eagles trade with Cardinals
Eagles acquired a 2023 third-round pick (No. 66 overall) from the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for a 2023 third-round pick (No. 94 overall) and a 2024 fifth-round pick.
Pick: Arizona selected Stanford wide receiver, Michael Wilson.
Wilson, who has missed significant chunks in each of the past three college seasons. At this stage of the draft, he feels like a noble risk. Wilson’s natural feel for the position is notable, and his Reese’s Senior Bowl showing was a reminder of his playmaking skill when healthy. — by Eric Edholm
Eagles trade with Bears
Philadelphia had the board roll their way and worked with the Bears to land Jalen Carter.
Eagles traded a 2023 first-round pick (No. 10 overall) and a 2024 fourth-round pick to the Bears in exchange for a 2023 first-round pick (No. 9 overall).
Pick: The Bears needed protection, specifically on the right side opposite Braxton Jones, who will be the guy on the left side. Chicago Drafted Tennessee offensive tackle, Darnell Wright.
