Ten games down, seven games to go, and the Washington Commanders are a very disappointing 4-6.
The Commanders let this close one against the Seahawks slip away, which would have given them a 5-5 record, heading into Sunday’s game against the Giants at FedEx Field. It would have also provided the Commanders a win against a 5-4 Seattle team, which could have been significant in the event of a tie later when the regular season concludes.
Frankly, is there actually any reason why this team should not be 6-4? Yet, they just don’t play well enough to get the job done. Have the Commanders, now perhaps, dug themselves too large a hole to dig themselves out?
Note that Washington, in losing, still only fell to 9th, and they hold the tiebreaker against the Falcons (also 4-6), having defeated Atlanta.
