Before the world of golf heads to Royal Liverpool for the 151st Open next week, the PGA Tour and DP World Tour are set to host the 2023 Genesis Scottish Open at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick.
An absolutely loaded field is set to tee off Thursday, including defending champion Xander Schauffele. He’ll be joined by world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and Patrick Cantlay.
Schauffele, who last tied for 19th at the Travelers Championship, beat Kurt Kitayama by one shot last season to earn himself the title. In 2021, Min Woo Lee survived a playoff against Thomas Detry and Matt Fitzpatrick for his second DP World Tour win.

Tyrrell Hatton (18/1)
Hatton’s last start came at the U.S. Open where he tied for 27th. Before that, he ripped off a stretch of five top-15 finishes in a row.
Last year, Hatton tied for 24th at the Renaissance and in 2021 he grabbed T-18.
Tommy Fleetwood (20/1)
The Englishman came close to winning this event last year, but settled for T-4. In 2021, Fleetwood tied for 26th and in 2020 he earned the silver medal.
The 22nd-ranked player in the world most recently missed the cut at the Travelers Championship, but before that tied for fifth at the U.S. Open and lost in a playoff to Nick Taylor at the RBC Canadian Open.
Matt Fitzpatrick (22/1)
Fitzpatrick’s course history speaks for itself. After losing in a playoff in 2021, the Englishman tied for sixth last season.
He didn’t have his best stuff in Connecticut, tying for 49th at the Travelers Championship. However, Fitzpatrick tied for 17th at the U.S. Open, for 20th at the RBC Canadian Open and for ninth at the Memorial in his three starts prior to TPC River Highlands.
Min Woo Lee (35/1)
Since missing the cut at the AT&T Byron Nelson, Lee has rattled off three top-20 finishes in his last four starts, including a T-9 at the Travelers Championship and a T-5 at the U.S. Open.
Outside of his win at this event in 2021, Lee tied for 30th in 2020 and missed the cut last season.
