NIT for Utah State
The Utah State Aggies are going to the NIT and will be getting a home game against the Pac-12’s Oregon Ducks. The two will square off in Logan, Utah, on Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET with the game airing on ESPN.
The Aggies were a hot and cold team this year and have the talent to make a deep NIT run as is evidence of their near win over Colorado State in the Mountain West tournament. Plus, Utah State earned a few solid wins along the way but it was their bad losses that kept them from getting an NCAA Tournament bid.

The Aggies get to host a Pac-12 team which is a great get for Utah State fans to see their team at least one more time at The Spectrum and it is a very cheap ticket, as in free for students and $15 for everyone else.
Quick turnaround, but..we need the @usuHURD & all @USUAthletics @USUAggies fans to fill The Spectrum Tues for a 7 pm tip on ESPN vs Oregon in the NIT. You want a Power 5 team here in Logan, you got it. WE NEED YOU THERE! USU students-FREE, all others $15. pic.twitter.com/F3bHHkuklR

This game is a disappointment for Oregon as the Ducks had hopes on making a deep NCAA Tournament run and contending in the Pac-12. Neither is going to happen for Oregon as they are a five-seed in the NIT facing off against the fourth-seeded Utah State Aggies.
It also doesn’t help that Oregon lost seven of their last 10 games and lost any chance at making it into the NCAA Tournament.
Oregon Ducks slotted for matchup with Utah State in 1st round of NIT
There is a big development to watch and that is if point guard Will Richardson will be playing on Tuesday night. He sat out the final regular season game and did not play at all in the Pac-12 tournament and all that was said was that he was “not feeling well.”
This match up could come down to what team wants to keep playing basketball in March.
