High-riding mini-MPV gets subtle design tweaks and new interior upholstery.
Honda Automobiles Thailand has given the BR-V a mid-life update after being on the market for three years.
In the usual manner of facelifts, design changes are subtle. The most notable alteration is the more pronounced grille, plus daytime-running lights up front.
The bumpers and wheels are also new. Inside, there’s an upgraded touchscreen and new two-tone seating upholstery.
The drivetrain remains unchanged: 117hp E85-capable 1.5-litre petrol engine and CVT automatic transmission driving the front wheels.
Like in the pre-facelift model, the BR-V is available in either five- or seven-seat form costing 765,000 baht and 835,000 baht accordingly. Both are 15k dearer than before.
The BR-V’s nearest rival is the Mitsubishi Xpander, which also highlights a high-riding mini-MPV body.
Equipped with 105hp 1.5-litre motor and four-speed automatic transmission, the Xpander comes with two trims costing 779,000 baht and 849,000 baht. A five-seat option isn’t available in the Xpander.
