2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe facelift: Thai prices and specs

New C200 with mild hybrid forms as the entry-level model, while AMG-fettled C43 gets a higher 390hp.

After launching the C-Class sedan in facelifted form late last month, Mercedes-Benz Thailand has followed up the Thai-built family with revised models of the Coupe variation.

On top of the range is the AMG-fettled C43 Coupe which runs the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 but sees power rising from 367hp to 390hp. Like before, power is transmitted to the brand’s 4Matic all-wheel-drive system via nine-speed automatic.

The price of the C43 Coupe has risen marginally from 4.14 million to 4.22 million baht.

While BMW has yet to develop an M Performance model for the 4 Series Coupe on a global basis, the Thai Audi agent has yet to consider imports of the S5 Coupe running 350hp 3.0-litre V6.

At the bottom of the range is the new C200 Coupe coming with 184hp 1.5-litre petrol-turbo motor linked up to 12hp mild hybrid. In Thai showrooms, it supersedes the pre-facelift C250 Coupe, which is powered by 211hp 2.0-litre petrol-turbo.

Available in just AMG Dynamic trim, the C200 Coupe is priced at 3.45 million baht, which is 170,000 baht cheaper than the outgoing C250 Coupe.

Rivals in this price vicinity include the 190hp Audi A5 Coupe 40 TFSI and 252hp BMW 430i with starting prices of 3.699 million and 3.429 million baht respectively.
