The Denver Broncos have set their 91-player roster ahead of the summer, but NFL squads can change quickly, and we might see a few tweaks leading up to training camp.
One of the most notable NFL free agents available is former Broncos safety Justin Simmons, but the team is not expected to re-sign him.
The most notable quarterback still available is Ryan Tannehill, but after trading for Zach Wilson and drafting Bo Nix, Denver seems unlikely to add another QB this summer.
Elsewhere on offense, former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas is also unsigned, and he obviously played under Broncos coach Sean Payton in the past. Given the team’s depth at receiver, though, Thomas is probably not a high priority (if a candidate at all).
If Denver is not pleased with the result of the center competition, the team could consider bringing back Connor McGovern, who spent the first four years of his career with the Broncos.
Denver has about $7.7 million worth of salary cap space going into the summer, so there’s not much wiggle room to make splashe signings. Still, these free agents are worth keeping an eye on as training camp draws closer.
