Two Atlanta Falcons and two Tennessee Titans are a little lighter in their wallets this week after being fined for infractions during the Week 8 game.
The league announced on Saturday that Falcons safety Jessie Bates and cornerback Jeff Okudah, neither of whom were flagged, were fined for unnecessary roughness hits during the contest last Sunday.
Both hits happened on consecutive plays in the second quarter. Bates was fined $21,855 for his while Okudah was fined $16,391 for his.
For the Titans, outside linebacker Harold Landry was hit with a pair of fines ($16,391 each) for hits on the quarterback, both of which came in the fourth quarter. One of them happened on one of Landry’s sacks but was not penalized, and the other was flagged later in the quarter.
Right tackle Chris Hubbard was hit with a $7,306 fine for unnecessary roughness in the second quarter. Hubbard would go on to leave the game early due to a concussion after the play. He was not flagged.
