2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu is in search of the seventh full-time coach of her young career. The 22-year-old had been coached by Nick Cavaday who recently announced he was stepping away to spend time at home and focus on his health.
Raducanu is reportedly not in a hurry to find a replacement, but we can think of two prominent names who could be good matches for her.
1. Andy Murray
British fans would be beside themselves if Andy Murray became Emma Raducanu’s coach. Murray recently dove into the coaching waters with Novak Djokovic. With Djokovic retiring during his Australian Open semifinal match against Alexander Zverev, there are many question marks surrounding his future, and one of those is what role Murray has going forward.
Murray was supposed to play mixed doubles with Raducanu at Wimbledon. Although fans were bitter it did not happen because of Raducanu’s last-minute withdrawal, it does not seem to have elicited ill will between them.

Andy Murray has long been a huge advocate of the WTA players. Many fans thought if he ventured into coaching, it would be with a female tennis player. He famously had a former WTA player and two-time Grand Slam champion as his coach for two years, French Open tournament director Amelie Mauresmo.
2. Goran Ivanisevic
Goran Ivanisevic’s trial coaching arrangement with Elena Rybakina has ended. When Rybakina selected him, many believed he would be an excellent coach for a WTA player. As a player, his huge serve was legendary.

Both Murray and Ivanisevic have coached Novak Djokovic so if Raducanu needs a reference, she could always talk to the GOAT about either person.
Raducanu remains the only player to win a Grand Slam as a qualifier. It is also the only WTA title she possesses. Injuries have derailed her in recent years. She lost in straight sets, 1-6, 0-6 to Iga Swiatek in the third round of the Australian Open. She had two great matches prior to that one, straight set wins over 26th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova and Amanda Anisimova.
