As the cost of living crisis continues, people aren't eating out as often, so the chance to win £500 to spend in Nottingham's restaurants and bars is a big deal - and it's all thanks to a Nottingham bar owner who wants to put cash in the tills of local businesses.
Neil Dollochin is the creator of a free app We Are Floot helping food and drink lovers to discover Nottingham’s best independent bars, restaurants and coffee shops - around 300 in total are now listed. He has partnered with children's cancer charity PASIC to launch a monthly prize draw.
The winner of this month's draw will receive £500 to spend in The Lobster Pot, Slice 'n' Brew, Iberico World Tapas, 400 Rabbits and Industry. Neil, who runs Tilt cocktail bar, said: "As an independent venue owner myself I know how hard things are right now. The mission of the prize draw is to really get behind our city's local hospitality businesses and, of course, to raise a meaningful amount of money every month for PASIC."

PASIC helps to support the families of young people being treated at the Nottingham's Children's Hospital. "The guys at PASIC do incredible work, and it's a cause the venues have really got behind. The bonus here for us, is that we’re putting £500 back into local tills every month and promoting our city's amazing independent hospitality venues”, said Neil.
Tickets for the prize draw will cost £2 with half of the proceeds going to PASIC. The other half will go towards running the app, and keeping it a free initiative for Nottingham's independent venues. This month's draw opens on June 14 and will run until July 1, with the winner announced on July 2.
Tickets are available from wearefloot.co.uk from June 14. The app is available for free via Google Play or the App Store.
