A pair of Denver Broncos players have been named All-Pros by their peers.
Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain and returner Marvin Mims were named to the NFL Players Association All-Pro Team following the 2024 season. Surtain and Mims were both named first-team All-Pros, with PS2 earning that distinction for the third consecutive year.
Surtain and Mims were also voted to the 2025 Pro Bowl by players, coaches and fans this season. Surtain seems like a lock to make the Associated Press All-Pro team, and Mims has a strong case for AP honors as well.
Surtain ranked first in yards allowed (306) and coverage target rate (10.9%) in 2024, according to NFL Next Gen Stats (via the Broncos). He is considered the favorite to win Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) this season.
“It means a lot, especially coming from your peers,” Surtain said after Wednesday’s practice. “I think that’s the highest regard you could get, the guys you compete with each and every week. I think it’s a huge honor, especially from that perspective, getting the recognition from the players and being first team. It’s an incredible honor for sure.”
Mims led the NFL with 15.7 yards per punt return this season, making him the first Denver player to accomplish that feat since Ring of Famer Rick Upchurch did so with 16.1 yards per return in 1982.

More accolades are likely on the way for the Broncos and their players in the coming weeks. Season-long awards such as DPOY will be announced during NFL Honors before the Super Bowl in February.
