1975 frontman Matty Healy tells Liam and Noel Gallagher to 'grow up' in furious rant

Outspoken singer Matty Healy has told Liam and Noel Gallagher to "grow up", in a savage rant aimed at the Oasis-founding brothers.

The 1975 frontman, who played a gig at Newcastle's Utilita Arena just last week took aim at the two rock and roll icons over their deep-seated spat with one another, which ultimately caused the Britpop band to fold in 2009.

Since going their separate ways, Liam and Noel have made it very clear that they don't see eye to eye - consistently having digs at each other on social media and in interviews.

And now, Matty, 33, has had his say on the feud - pleading the brothers to put their spat behind them and urging them to stop "acting like they're in their twenties". During an interview with Tom Powers Q on CBC, Matty said: "What are Oasis doing?

"Can you imagine being in potentially right now, still, the coolest band in the world and not doing it cause you're in a mard with your brother? Do you know what I mean? I can deal with them dressing like they're in their twenties and being in their fifties, but acting like they're in their twenties.

"They need to grow up. Stop marding. They're like men of the people and they're sat around in like Little Venice and Highgate, like crying over an argument with their brother. Grow up - headline Glastonbury."

Matty also detailed how many who go to see Liam or Noel on their separate musical endeavours are constantly wishing that they were at an Oasis gig instead, adding: "There is not one person going to a High Flying Birds gig or a Liam Gallagher gig that would not rather be at an Oasis gig.

"There is not one person that's there going 'you know what, I loved Definitely Maybe but my favourite thing is f***ing Noel Gallagher's High Flying...' do me a favour. Get back together, stop messing around. That's my public service announcement for today."

It comes after just last month Liam alleged that Noel was "begging" him for "forgiveness" in a cryptic tweet. On January 18, he penned: "Just had RKID on the phone begging for forgiveness bless him wants to meet up what Dya reckon meet up or f*** him off."
