All 183 prisoners scheduled for release from Israeli prisons on Saturday have been successfully freed, according to a spokesperson from the Israeli prison services. This release came after Hamas had previously released three hostages, marking the conclusion of the fourth round of terrorist releases under Operation 'Wings of Freedom' aimed at returning hostages home.

The prisoners were moved from various detention facilities across Israel to the Ofer and Keziot prisons before being released into Gaza and the occupied West Bank. A convoy of buses carrying some of the prisoners, led by a Red Cross vehicle, was warmly welcomed by crowds in Khan Younis, Gaza, as shown in video footage. The former prisoners were visibly excited, leaning out of the coach windows and waving to the cheering crowds.
