An 18-year-old has been charged following an investigation into a series of alleged aggravated break-and-enters in Sydney’s west, two of which were allegedly of a sexual nature against elderly women.
The Sex Crimes Squad arrested Emmanuel Benjament on Monday evening after he attended Dee Why Police Station, as reported by the Sydney Morning Herald.
He was taken to Manly Police Station and charged with 16 offences, including three counts of aggravated break and enter, robbery armed with offensive weapon, two counts of sexually touch another person without consent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and attempt to dishonestly obtain property by deception, NSW Police said in a statement.

The arrest followed extensive inquiries, including a public appeal for information last week, with detectives executing a warrant at a home in Merrylands on Monday afternoon and seizing numerous items relevant to the investigation.
Last week, NSW Police reported a number of homes on Elsinore Street, Grace Crescent, Davies Road, and Norma Place in Merrylands were allegedly broken into between 2am and 6.20am on Thursday, 6 March.
Two of the reported incidents were of a sexual nature against two women, aged in their 80s.
It’s alleged the man produced a knife and attempted to sexually assault a woman and sexually touched another woman at a second home.
Benjament was refused bail to appear in Manly Local Court on Tuesday.
