Lucknow: In a significant development in Uttar Pradesh, 18 IAS officers from the 2009 batch have been promoted to the position of Secretary, reports Dynamite News reporter.
According to the notification, ths promotion will be effective from January 1, 2025, provided the concerned officers successfully complete the Phase-4 of the required Mid-Career Training program.

List of promoted officers: Surya Pal Gangwar, Dr. Rupesh Kumar, Anuj Kumar Jha, Mala Srivastava, Dr. Nitin Bansal, Masoom Ali Sarwar, Vijay Kiran Anand, Bhanu Chandra Goswami, Prakash Bind, S.L. Rajalingam, Vivek, Bhupendra S.S. Chaudhary, Vaibhav Srivastava, Ajay Kumar, Pramod Kumar Upadhyay, Janardan, Sumgita Sing, Indravikram Singh.
UP govt also promotes 95 IAS officers
Besides, the state government also elevated 95 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers.

Among those promoted are Azamgarh Division Commissioner Manish Chauhan and Food Commissioner Saurabh Babu, along with five other IAS officers, who have been elevated from Secretary to Principal Secretary positions. Additionally, District Magistrates of Lucknow, Surya Pal Gangwar, and Kanpur Nagar, Rakesh Kumar Singh, along with 38 IAS officers, have also been promoted from District Magistrate and Special Secretary levels to Secretary level.
IAS officers from the 2010, 2011, and 2012 batches have got Selection Grade.
