A new £17m zero-carbon office development complete with a gym and wellness facility, food venues and rooftop terraces is set for South Gloucestershire. It will be the South West's first zero-carbon development.
The multi-million pound development will is being built at 1000 Aztec West in South Gloucestershire near Bristol. A workforce of 850 people could be welcomed to the development when it opens.
The original 1980s structural components have been saved, which in turn saves 1.7 million kg of carbon. A new flooring and roof structure are being created, so the building can grow to 80,000 sq ft to cater for this new offering.

The office block will be powered with renewable energy. A 1,300 sq ft gym and wellness facility is planned, to offer office workers daily gym and yoga classes.
There will be food venues inside, and, outside, there will be a café, decked terrace area and rooftop terraces. The building has targets to be completed next summer.
In another futuristic move, a specific smartphone app will be created for the development. This will allow office workers to reserve meeting rooms, arrange dry-cleaning, book fitness classes and access local retail discounts.
