17,349 new Covid cases, 22 deaths Thursday

The country registered 22 more Covid-19 fatalities and 17,349 new cases during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Thursday morning.

There were 17,104 local cases and 245 imported ones.

On Wednesday, 11,561 Covid-19 patients left hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.

Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 2,656,411 Covid-19 cases, including 432,976 cases this year, with 2,489,812 complete recoveries to date.

The death toll stood at 22,538 since the beginning of the pandemic, including 840 so far this year.
